What is a Job Guarantee?
A Job Guarantee is a program that creates living-wage jobs for people who cannot find full-time work. These jobs would focus on fixing our communities, caring for people in need, supporting schools, and other public services that benefit everyone.
By reducing the fear of unemployment, a Job Guarantee would also strengthen the bargaining power of all working people, helping them earn better pay, work in safer conditions, and receive fair treatment on the job.
Why is voting necessary to acheive a Job Guarantee?
Almost 70% of New Jersey voters already support a Job Guarantee. That means most of us want the same thing: a fair shot and a secure future. Now we just need to show up and vote to prove that working people have the power to elect leaders who will fight for a Job Guarantee—and vote out the ones who won’t.
