Volunteer-to-Paid Relational Organizer
Role Summary
As a Volunteer-to-Paid Relational Organizer, your role is to mobilize your friends, family, and community—through text, social media, phone calls, or in-person conversations—to donate $25 or whatever they can to help us hire 500 paid Relational Organizers by January 5, 2026. These will be remote, part-time positions paying $4,000/month to build the grassroots power we need to pass a Job Guarantee in New Jersey.
If each volunteer asks 10 people in their network to chip in $25, and each of those donors then asks 5 more people to give $25, we can spark a relational small-dollar fundraising snowball effect. With enough people participating, we can realistically reach our goal of hiring 500 paid Relational Organizers by January 5, 2026.
Along with small-dollar fundraising, Volunteer–to-Paid Relational Organizers will also share content to educate their networks and communities on how a Job Guarantee program can create living-wage jobs for everyone who wants one. Volunteers will also ask their networks to participate in calls to action, such as contacting state elected officials to support a Job Guarantee.

All Are Welcome!
Whether you’ve never done political work before or you’re a seasoned political organizer, there’s a place for you in this movement as a Volunteer-to-Paid Relational Organizer. The process is simple, and we will provide everything you need to get started.
How It Works
2. Our FEN-PAC Political Organizer will contact you with a digital toolkit that will include shareable content, talking points, and call-to-action (CTA) links.
3. Volunteer remotely from anywhere in New Jersey, on your own time. Our Political Organizer will be available via phone, email, or Zoom to assist you or answer any questions.
4. As paid positions are funded, volunteers will receive priority notification and consideration for each paid Relational Organizer opening.
Important Note
This role begins as an unpaid volunteer position. While we cannot guarantee a paid position, strong volunteers will be given hiring preference and designated as priority candidates. Our ability to offer paid positions depends on the success of our fundraising efforts to hire 500 Paid Relational Organizers by January 5, 2026.
What is a Job Guarantee?
A Job Guarantee is a public program that creates living-wage jobs for people who cannot find full-time work. These jobs would focus on fixing our communities, caring for people in need, supporting schools, and other public services that benefit everyone.
By reducing the fear of unemployment, a Job Guarantee would also strengthen the bargaining power of all working people, helping them earn better pay, work in safer conditions, and receive fair treatment on the job.
